What HIVE stands for

Human

Inspired by Isaac Asimov’s Trap Door Spider Society, Natalie Walstead took the idea and modernised it for a faster world.

Insight

A hurdle for you might be someone else’s hobby. An insurmountable mountain for you might be somebody’s Tuesday.

Vision

The first HIVE started in Las Vegas. There are more of them now, each with its own goal, schedule and cadence. One Creed holds them together.

Execution

We meet to work out what to do, and then we actually do it. Join in person or virtually, and catch up in the app.

How it works

Three parts to a HIVE

HIVE MeetingWe meet on whatever rhythm suits us — weekly for some, monthly for others — and work on each other’s HDs: high-definition wishes, sharpened in a Humdinger session until somebody can grant them. In person, on a call, or catch up after.
HIVE HelpEvery HIVE picks something to give back to. A shelter donation, trash grabbed on a walk, fifteen minutes of kindness — anything that leaves you, someone else, or the world one percent better. No act is too tiny.
HIVE HangTime for each other beyond the work, because you can’t pour from an empty cup. A night out for one HIVE, a networking event for another. Each decides its own.

The HIVE Creed

Every HIVE makes its own shape. One may gather around personal wishes, another around ideas its members are building, and another around one shared goal. Each chooses its own people, schedule and cadence. The Creed is what makes all of them HIVE.
